The unfolding of your Words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130

From the blog

THE ETERNAL WORD

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.  And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.  John 1:1-5

“The book of John reveals to us that the Word is infinite; the Word was present since the very beginning in operation with God; the Word was the person of God; nothing was made without the Word; life was in the Word & that life was light to shine in our world of darkness.  The book of John also reveals to us that the Word was and is Jesus since Genesis.  So then, if the Word is Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life, isn’t that good enough?  Why are we searching for more? Why do we misinterpret God’s Word so it can fit our lives?  Why do we still live like we’re lost and continue to use God’s grace as an opportunity for the flesh?”

Your Words were found, and I ate them, and your Words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16

About Me

I’m Geralda Rodney, blessed to be married to a man who is after God’s heart. Previously a Property Manager, a Weight Loss Consultant, a Preschool Teacher and a Children’s Ministry Director. Currently, I am a freelance Interpreter, a Real Estate Agent; a Gift Designer, a classical singer, a worshipper; and one who is simply God’s work in progress. When I’m not spending time with my wonderful family, I love writing about God and life; writing & singing songs; and living a healthy, balanced life!

Proverbs 22:6 says to train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. This is such a profound Word from God. I was fortunate to grow up in a Christian household. Don’t get me wrong, it was not a perfect home. It was simply a home centered in the Word of God. As we grow older, the prayer of our parents and grandparents along with being in a Christian home start to lose weight. I believe that’s all in the plan of God, in order for us to start holding our own spiritually. Though I cannot ignore the power there is in the prayer of our parents and grandparents. I find myself doing the exact same thing as a parent, especially with my adult son. I cannot parent him as a small child anymore, but I can influence him with my God-fearing lifestyle and with my prayer. The loss of my mother at the age of 17 really started me on a journey filled with uncertainty, questions, confusions, and frustrations. I thank God that He never allowed me to stray too far from Him. He orchestrated every experiences in such a way that I could see all along that He was with me, whether I was aware or not. That’s when I understood the power of Proverbs 22:6. I could not depart from my 1st love. How could I? No matter how far I think I was, He was always there. It was then, I realized that there is power in the Word of God. This love for God’s Word inspired me to step out, and declare that God’s Word is Good enough! Yes, indeed! It is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. And it is just that simple!

“Are you Marriage Material?”

What an interesting way for Jesus to describe the Kingdom of heaven in the book of Matthew chapter 25 verse 1-13. In that chapter, we see how Jesus uses the parable of the ten virgins. The virgins represent people in the Church, the bridegroom represents Jesus, the lamps represent our mind, and the oil represents…

Life’s Got Its Own Waiting Room Too, Let Us Learn To Sit In It!

What a powerful word from Isaiah 40:31. It says that, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Nobody likes to wait especially in this microwavable world that we live in…
